Smart ID Appoints Sanjeev Mathur as the CEO
New Delhi, 13, 2011 : Smart Identity Devices Pvt. Ltd. (Smart ID), the pioneer in providing Biometrics, Smart Cards and Information Communication Technology solutions, today announced the appointment of Sanjeev Mathur as the CEO. Sanjeev has a vast experience of over 30 years in the field of Information Technology, Telecom and Smart Cards. At Smart ID, as the CEO, he will scale up Smart ID’s growth momentum in the key focus areas like biometric based enrollments and turnkey e-governance projects. He will also be focusing on Smart ID’s foray into e-Panchayat, e-Banking as well as IT Security product and solutions. He has joined Smart ID’s strong and broad based management team at the company’s corporate office at Noida.
Sanjeev has a splendid career graph, and an equally shining educational background. He holds a degree in Electronics (Engineering) from Delhi University. Over the years, he has amassed a very rich experience with some very well known and reputed organizations across the globe. He set up sales as well as manufacturing operations in India for Giesecke & Devrient, a leading German smart card vendor. He has been involved in a number of smart card based projects in telecom industry, e-governance projects such as state driving licenses, vehicle registration, health cards, loyalty cards and chip card based issuance of credit and debit cards by the banks.
