Swedish National Biometric Association, SNBA

The initiative to form Swedish National Biometric Association (non-profit organisation) on July 1, 2004 was taken by the municipality of Karlskrona, Karlskrona Innovation Center, Optimum Biometric Labs AB and Blekinge Institute of Technology.

The Center for Biometrics and Security Research (CBSR) is founded by the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CASIA). Joint Research & Development Laboratory for Advanced Computer and Communication Technologies (JDL)

JDL is a research unit specialized on multimedia, communication and intelligent human-computer interaction, aiming at the kernel researches in intelligent wide-band network multimedia systems, as well as the development of the key applications in these fields. JDL was founded in March 1996, originally as a joint laboratory cosponsored by the Motorola US and the National Center on Intelligent Computers (NCIC) Institute of Computing Technology of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Electric Engineering Dept, Tsinghua University

The Department of Electronic Engineering (originally Department of Radio Electronics) of Tsinghua University was established in 1952. Currently it is composed of 3 State-level Labs/divisions (Microwave and Digital Telecommunications Lab, Tsinghua Division of Joint Optoelectronics Lab, and Intelligent Graphics and Image Division of Intelligent Technologies and Systems Lab) and 6 Research Institutes (Information Optoelectronics, Networking and Man-machine Speech Communication, High Speed Signal Processing and Network Transmission, Imaging and Graphics, and Circuit and System).

Biometric Research Center, Hong Kong Polytechnic University

Biometrics Research Centre is working on biometric related projects over 26 years and over HK$ 10 millions funds have been obtained in a last few years. Particularly, two research centers have been setup, including Biometrics Research Centre (UGC/CRC) supported by Hong Kong Government and the Government in China (NSFC) since 1998, respectively.
