Biometric Time and Attendance

Keeping track of time and attendance of employees in an organization is important for optimal utilization of working hours, payroll and various resources. With advent of biometric time and attendance clocks, employee management has become easier than before. Manual attendance maintenance is completely outdated and mechanical time and attendance systems are becoming untrustworthy with constant cases of tampering from employees. In such a situation, fingerprint attendance clocks are bound to become popular among organization owners.

Working of Employee Attendance Clocks
Fingerprints of different employees are recorded and templates are created using various traits like ridges, bifurcations and others. Every time an employee enters or leaves the office, he is required to make a login and logout by providing live fingerprint samples. Biometric employee time clocks also require the employee numbers to add value to the authentication process. Once the biometric data and employee number matches with pre-recorded values, the attendance of the employee is marked.

Hardware and Software Requirement
The good news is that biometric employee time clocks require minimum hardware and software to employ effective attendance management. Biometric scanners are used as devices to read and match the live fingerprint samples with pre-recorded templates in the database. Biometric software is easily available to control the functioning of fingerprint attendance clocks.

Addressing Many Issues

  • Buddy punching is the common problem in case of mechanical and manual attendance systems. With biometric time and attendance clocks, the possibility of an employee marking the attendance of others is not possible.
  • A complete report of working hours of an employee, number of leaves, office delays, overtime hours and other associated issues can be prepared using fingerprint attendance clocks. It is important information to assess the overall performance of employee.
  • Every department, from sales and purchase to production, is dependent upon the employees and thus, an effective approach need to be followed to encourage every employee towards best performance. Biometric employee time clocks are perfect installations to achieve these targets.
  • Overall cost saving in a business environment is ensured by these devices residing in the premises.

Biometric time and attendance clocks fulfill the demand of employee management at contemporary workplaces, so that you can count upon your workforce for achieving the deserving success.
